Tristan is a diversely skilled performing and recording drummer/percussionist and educator. Having grown up in Central New York with the mentorship of a supportive community of professional musicians, he was performing jazz and theatre professionally by his teens. He was a founding member of jazz orchestra the 315 All-Stars, winning Jazz at Lincoln Center ‘s ‘Essentially Ellington’ competition, continuing on to earn degrees in music and Anthropology. After over a decade’s tenure as resident percussionist with the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse (The Rev) and Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival he moved to New York City, touring nationally with Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical, playing and recording cast albums for the original off-Broadway productions A Letter to Harvey Milk, The View UpStairs, and Clinton the Musical, and performed for myriad workshops and readings for new theatre in development. Additionally, he's taught percussion, piano, and general music lessons for ages 3 to adult, and was instructor and accompanist at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for 13 years. Outside of theatre, he has performed and/or recorded with such diverse artists as glam-rock band Tony & the Kiki, EDM’s Grapefruit Sound Lab, and the Trinity Irish Dancers.
